Insta360 is one company that specializes in these action cameras, specifically 360-degree cameras that use reframing and stabilization technology. And the Insta360 GO 3 camera is the latest offering from the company, building upon the GO 2 with a new flip-up screen and more features.
The Insta360 GO 3 comes in at just 35g (which Insta360 claims to be the “world’s smallest action camera”) and has a compact and magnetic design that allows it to fit anywhere, which you can utilize with the included (hat clip and magnetic mount) or optional mounts and accessories. The detachable case, or the Action Pod, charges the camera and has a flip screen so you can easily see what you’re capturing. Everything is aided by Insta360’s in-house FlowState Stabilization technology, which provides steady footage free from shakes and bumps, along with 360-degree horizon lock, keeping you upright even if you’re upside down. Additionally, the camera itself is waterproof up to 16 feet, and the Action Pod case is IPX4 splashproof.
As for the battery life and resolution, the camera on its own provides 45 minutes of life (the Action Pod case gets that up to 170 minutes), and you’re getting up to 2.7k video and 50 fps (1080p/120fps for slow-motion footage). Moreover, the dual microphones allow you to use voice control, and you can also use the Insta360 App to view your photos and utilize AI editing tools.
