In today’s increasingly digital, cashless world, full-size billfolds have become largely superfluous as the vast majority of us leave the house with little more than our smartphone, driver’s license, and a card or two — along with whatever other EDC essentials you opt to carry. Well aware of this reality, Dango has debuted its latest offering which aims to cater to the modern-day minimalist with the brand’s all-new MagSafe Wallet.
Just like with Dango’s tactical wallets, the American outfit’s new MagSafe Wallet is constructed around an alloy outer frame that’s been precision-machined from aerospace-grade 6061 aluminum. Fitted with a magnetic back plate that affords it MagSafe-compatibility, the wallet’s frame has been bestowed with a molded and stitched leather compartment with a metal snap-back hinge that allows it to open or close for inserting or removing cards or bills. The hinged design and its numerous integrated lock-points also allows the wallet to double as a phone kickstand in both portrait and landscape modes.
Thanks to its rugged material selection and secure closing design, Dango’s MagSafe Wallet lends itself just as well to outdoor or adventure applications as it does to EDC use — whether coupled to the back of an iPhone or carried by itself. Measuring 4.09” x 2.75” x 0.39”, the entire wallet tips the scales at just 2.4oz, too. Offered in black or brown leather options, this singular carry item also pairs perfectly with Dango’s recently-released range of ultra-hardwearing Adapt iPhone cases (one of which can be seen in directly below).
The Dango MagSafe Wallet is available now, with pricing set at just $59.
