The convenience of wireless charging has segued into several environments from the workplace to our bedside tables, but there are few places it’s more necessary than in the driver’s seat. Seeing as no tech accessory manufacturer has pulled this feat off yet, Belkin took things upon itself to release the first-ever MagSafe-compatible car charger.
While it may be hard to believe, this charger is a groundbreaking gadget, as countless other third-party brands may be selling an affordable iteration of it on Amazon, Belkin’s BOOST↑CHARGE Pro is the first MagSafe-ready car charger certified by Apple. The new device is operable with any MagSafe-compatible Apple smartphone model, meaning iPhone 12 users and onward are able to utilize this wireless tech whether stuck in a traffic jam or zooming down the highway.
Functionality-wise, the new device delivers a full 15W charge and is operated by USB-C to ensure it powers up as fast as possible. Additionally, it is equipped with an adjustable mount that can be attached to your car vent and can be positioned either vertically or horizontally, allowing you to get a fuller view of your Waze route or throw on your favorite song.
Belkin’s BOOST↑CHARGE PRO Wireless Car Charger with MagSafe is available on Apple’s webshop for $99.
