A couple of weeks removed from Apple announcing their brand new model of AirPods, their subsidiary in Beats has resurfaced with their second pair of true wireless buds released in 2021. Following their ANC-capable Beats Studio Buds, the Los Angeles-based masters of bass look to overtake their mother company with the Beats Fit Pro.
Unlike the brand’s prior release in the aforementioned Studio Buds, their latest announcement boasts the utilization of Apple’s gloriously powerful H1 chip. This will allow listeners to share audio and shift from one device to another with the ease we’ve come to appreciate from Apple. With Apple’s high-end spatial audio program that they’ve been promoting over the course of the year, these new buds are sure to go hand-in-hand, as they are one of only four pairs that are optimized to take full advantage of Apple Music’s dynamic head tracking technology. Capable of up to 6 hours of listening time, the Fit Pros mirror the newly-revealed generation of AirPods, but chip away slightly at the life of some similar Beats models. In a relatively similar fashion to the ear-wrapping rubber on Beats’ flagship workout-focused PowerBeats Pro, their newest family of buds offer smaller, secure-fit in-ear wingtips providing for a far less obtrusive set of quality earphones. On top of that, the Fit Pros also come equipped with a much handier portable charging case that’s actually pocketable as opposed to the bulkier case of its sibling.
While many will tag these as the superior build to their Studio Buds model, this ANC offering should also strongly be considered over Apple’s latest standard AirPods, and may even look to give the AirPods Pro a run for their money. The Beats Fit Pro will be available starting November 5 for $200 from Apple, but you can pre-order them now in a quartet of colors.
