Astell&Kern’s ACRO BE100 Bluetooth Speaker Delivers Nothing but Hi-Fi

Astell&Kern is to sound equipment what Ben and Jerry is to ice cream — it’s hard to go wrong with any of either brand’s products. Whether it’s one of the former’s portable Hi-Fi players or its recently revealed headphone amp, the craftsmanship that goes into its portfolio is mesmerizing. Now, the South Korean manufacturer is adding another element to its catalog with the ACRO BE100, a wireless speaker boasting a 32-bit DAC.

In the case you are not much of an audiophile, DAC is short for a digital-to-audio converter, and one as high as 32 bits is capable of streaming your music library in the most unsaturated manner imaginable. Paving the way for this top-tier listening experience is a custom 4″ Kevlar woofer and a pair of 1.5″ silk dome tweeters for additional clarity.

The ACRO BE100 also boasts some state-of-the-art capabilities, like its seamless connectivity to either aptX-HD or LDAC Codecs, serving as the very first Bluetooth speaker that supports both. This results in a robust, immersive sound that the gadgeteers behind it claim has never been made any easier than with its sleek new reveal. Adding to its sonic prowess is a Class-D AMP, capable of controlling any frequency range automatically.

Whether you’re a full-blown audiophile or just a music fan who’s in the process of becoming one, then this is undoubtedly a release you will want to keep an eye on. Astell&Kern’s ACRO BE100 will be available for pre-order starting February 25th for $499 and is slated to release on March 7th.
