First released in 2014, the Pagani Huayra R is an ultra-high-performance track-only hypercar with an 838-hp 6.0-liter V12 engine that allows for a top speed of nearly 240mph. With a $3,500,000 price tag and only 30 units ever produced, the Huayra R is undoubtedly one of the most exclusive cars to debut over the last decade. And while very few drivers will ever get the privilege of owning — or even piloting – one of these cars, fans of the R-spec Huayra can now enjoy using the Italian hypercar’s pedal set while sim racing thanks to a new kit from Danish firm, Asetek SimSports.
Designed in Italy and made in Denmark, the pedal set boasts a throttle system with a zero-play, die-cast aluminum pedal arm with bronze bushings and ball bearings, a 16-bit magnetic wireless hall throttle position sensor, an adjustable pedal harness, interchangeable springs, and the ability to handle 440lbs of force and a burst pressure of over 1,500lbs. Additionally, the braking system on the set features Asetek SimSports’ Twin Hydraulic Opposing Rapid Piston system, a die-cast and forged aluminum construction, an automotive-grade pressure sensor, a custom CNC-machined brake cylinder, and a pedal arm designed to handle the same amount of force as the throttle system. The entire unit also runs through a state-of-the-art RaceHub.
Born out of a collaboration between Pagani Automobili and Asetek SimSports, this sim racing pedal set is modeled directly after the pedal arrangement found in the Huayra R and boasts the same adjustability and travel settings. Crafted around an all-black-anodized aluminum pedal base, the kit sports anodized aluminum pedal plates and arms, as well as configurable and dimmable RGB LED lighting. Utilizing only a single USB connection from the pedal base to the rest of the sim racing rig, this replica pedal set has also been tested for literally hundreds of hours by actual Formula and GT drivers, as well as a handful of professional sim racers.
The Pagani Automobili x Asetek SimSports Huayra R Sim Racing Pedal Set is available now, with pricing set at $1,999.
