In this space, people talk a lot about EDC gear and the ways in which we should configure our loadouts — and rightfully so. However, perhaps we don’t discuss enough the clothing in which we should be keeping said gear. Of course, for the everyday carry enthusiast, any pair of pants would technically do the trick. But settling for simplicity and bare-minimum requirements can only get us so far.

Enter Proof’s Rover EDC Pant, a pair of tough trousers made “for gearheads, by gearheads.” Built from the brand’s popular Rover model, a fan favorite for its thermo-regulating properties, these new pants are constructed with a blend of 67% cotton, 31% Sorbtek, and 2% Lycra. While Lycra provides the needed stretch, Sorbtek is a fabric that wicks moisture at accelerated rates and can withstand dozens upon dozens of laundry cycles without wearing down whatsoever.

As for storing your pocket gear, the Rover EDC sports eight pockets in total, including the standard front and rear pockets, plus two on the back of the thigh, a zippered one on the front leg, and another small zippered compartment within the right-hand pocket. Available in Anthracite, Dark Bronze Grey, and Dark Olive, these pants give you multiple options for whatever loadout you want to go with on a given day.
