Since its inception in 2010, Peak Design has consistently produced some of the most cleverly-designed travel bags that money can buy, combining rugged materials and top-notch build quality with a bevy of genuinely useful and practical features and amenities — traits present in Peak Design’s carry solutions across the board. Despite the objectively premium nature of its bag, the San Francisco brand has now managed to deliver elevated, upgraded versions of some of its most lauded globetrotter-specific offerings with the all-new Peak Design x Huckberry X-Pac Travel Collection.
Born out of a collaboration with online retailer Huckberry, this new release is comprised of half a dozen items in total, all of which benefit from the same series of up-specced elements. This includes limited edition versions of Peak Design’s Tech Pouch and the large and small sizes of its Wash Pouch. All three of these items see their standard recycled 200-denier recycled nylon shell constructions jettisoned in favor of an even more hardwearing X-Pac VX-21 sailcloth material crafted in Huckberry’s signature coyote colorway. This trio of X-Pac-shelled pouches also retain the normal variants’ No. 8 UltraZip zippers and abrasion-resistant UHMWPE threading. In fact, aside from the new shell material and new coyote color, the pouches otherwise go entirely unchanged.
Also included in this six-item collab is 35-liter and 65-liter version of the Peak Design Travel Duffel Bags. Instead of utilizing the Travel Duffels’ standard DWR-impregnated and double poly-coated recycled 600-denier nylon canvas shell, these travel-specific bags benefit from the same ultra-hardwearing VX-21 shell upgrade. Rounding out this capsule is Peak Design’s award-winning expandable 30-liter Travel Backpack, which swaps its recycled 400-denier nylon canvas shell for the same X-Pac material. The backpack and duffels also maintain the normal version of the bags’ anodized aluminum sandglass-reinforced nylon hardware, and top-notch fit and finish. The use of X-Pac VX-21 for this collection’s shell material ultimately results in even more rugged and lightweight versions of these travel-focused Peak Design carry solutions, without compromising on functionality or utility.
Produced in limited numbers, the Peak Design x Huckberry X-Pac Travel Collection is available now, with pricing starting at $70.
