In less-than-a-month, the planet’s most elite athletes will be convening in Paris for the 29th Summer Olympic Games. For the upcoming Games of the Olympiad, sportswear powerhouse Nike has announced that it will not only be outfitting all U.S. athletes with their respective kit, but it will also be producing a limited run of special edition Team USA garments to celebrate the occasion and let fans show their support for our nation’s most skilled athletes and competitors.
And while this expansive collection includes a huge slew of everything from jerseys and shorts to hats and footwear, one of the most noteworthy standouts is undoubtedly the Nike Team USA Tech Fleece Windrunner Hoodie.
The Team USA Tech Fleece Windrunner Hoodie draws inspiration from a number of the Swoosh’s classic athletic jackets. Sporting a fully-lined, full-zip design, this technical garment boasts an athletic fit that aims to maximize both comfort and mobility. Borrowing elements from Nike’s original Windrunner and Tech Fleece jackets, this Team USA item is cut from a soft and lightweight cotton-poly fleece blend that’s found on both the inside and outside of the garment.
Sporting a Blue, Heather, and Obsidian color way that puts a contemporary spin on America’s classic red, white, and blue colors, the hoodie is decorated with a Nike Swoosh and an official Team USA logo patch across the chest, and a special “USA” script and flag logo design adorning the right sleeve.
In addition to bolstering range of motion, the hoodie was also engineered to provide ample warmth while adding minimal bulk.
