Since hitting shelves last Air Max Day, the new-age Dn has become a fan favorite for its sleek design and on-foot feel, proving that this historic series always has room for improvement. Less than a year later, Nike unveiled the latest iteration earlier this January. Now, the Nike Dn8 looks to come for the throne, offering a reinvigorated design that lends itself to a much more comfortable walk.

After introducing the revolutionary Dynamic Air system on the first pair, Nike expanded it. The innovation helps airflow shift within each dual-chambered tube, creating unique cushioning based on where or how you step. This time around, the most significant difference between last year’s pair and the revamped silhouette is four additional Air tubes that now make their way to the toebox. That’s a major upgrade from the four found at the standard silhouette’s heel. As a result, Nike promises a wholly innovative underfoot feel that you’ll only find on the Dn8.

Its redesigned upper even rivals the predecessor, which says a lot considering the Dn’s multi-layered mesh offered remarkable airflow. Here, the Dn8 has a similar lightweight mesh construction but gets finished off with slashes to promote even more breathing room. For added durability, it boasts an added layer of material at the toe tip and a plastic heel clip to help keep your foot in place.

As part of the performance giant’s Move to Zero campaign, the Air Max Dn8 is sustainably designed using recycled materials. Eco-conscious moves are yet another step toward Nike lowering its carbon footprint and reducing emissions.
The new Air Max Dn8 is available in a handful of colorways, including the pictured Black/Gym Red, with several others slated to release soon. Pick up a pair on Nike’s website for $190 and experience a new level of comfort.
