The perfect hiking boot is pretty difficult to find. What works for one person’s feet won’t be right for another’s. Nobody knows feet like Danner, who’s now teamed up with Huckberry on a special-edition version of its Shelter Cove Slide.
Named after a resupply shelter on the Pacific Crest Trail, Danner’s flagship recovery slides have now been outfitted in a Japan-inspired Duck Camo print from Huckberry, who’s partnered with the Oregon-based footwear company before, but never on anything other than boots. With two straps across the top for extra security, the sandals’ new colorway features co-branding from both companies. Weighing just about 19oz, the slippers are extremely comfortable and the perfect item to slip your feet into after a day of hiking or climbing when hanging out by the campfire or driving back home.
They’re given a super-soft plush EVA foam on both the uppers and midsoles for cloud-like comfort all around. The midsoles are also designed with an anatomically contoured shape to cradle your feet for support. On the outsoles, the Vibram Megagrip gives you some added traction and grip for all conditions, which can help if you need to slip these on while you’re still packing up the car.
