The Huckberry house brand Flint and Tinder has amassed quite an enthusiastic fanbase (even before getting acquired by Huckberry) thanks to the label’s dedication to high-quality products and American manufacturing. And this fanbase has gotten noticeably bigger thanks to a particular HBO show, The Last of Us, showcasing the leading man Pedro Pascal in Flint and Tinder’s trucker jacket. Much like Pascal, this jacket had already been appreciated by those in the know, but this insane spike in popularity brought more attention than ever before. The original flannel-lined trucker jacket was appreciated for its rugged durability and effortless style, but it’s definitely more suited for colder weather. This is why Flint and Tinder’s release of the Unlined Waxed Trucker Jacket is such a treat, as it’s equipped to take on the summer with you while still rocking the same iconic design.
The main difference between the original (FNT’s best-selling jacket of all time) and this jacket is obviously the omission of the flannel lining. Although it’s comfy and warm, it’s not an ideal choice for summer, unlike this unlined version. This jacket is a lighter and more breathable iteration, but it still features the Martexin 7 oz sailcloth from the original, providing weather resistance and a look that only gets better as it ages, all cut, sewn, and finished in sunny Los Angeles.
As for the specifics, the jacket is prewashed for a softer feel and a lived-in look, and can be rewaxed as much as you like. It has adjustable cuffs for comfort in all weather, along with two hand pockets, an interior pocket, and two chest pockets. The jacket is finished with subtle zig-zag stitching and custom Flint and Tinder shank buttons.
The Flint and Tinder Waxed Trucker Jacket is available now in the Havana, Field Tan, or Forest colorway for $228.
