In a world chock-full of brand collaborations, it’s a rarity to see two firms at the top of their individual industries partner up for a new release. Dominating the boot-making scene for over 90 years, Danner has become a heritage staple of the American Pacific Northwest. For the first time ever, it’s teamed up with the Montana-based brand MYSTERY RANCH, whose legendary packs have taken tactical cues from the military all while being injected with the type of versatility desired by the everyman.
Inspired by the orange-red glow of sunsets over Yellowstone National Park, the inagural collaboration features a limited-edition take on both Danner’s Trail 2650 GTX hiking boots and MYSTERY RANCH’s Scree 32 day pack. Already some of the best trail shoes you can find, the Trail 2650s are now given a beautiful new colorway while performing just as you’d expect. Built with lightweight mesh and textile uppers, the boots are lined with GORE-TEX to make them waterproof and even more breathable. The triple-layer OrthoLite footbed can be removable and Danner’s PlyoGo EVA midsole balances weight and cushion perfectly. What’s more, the Vibram 460 outsoles have self-adapting lugs and Megagrip so you can traverse in wet or dry conditions with ease.
As for the Scree 32 pack, it’s perfect whether you’re venturing on your weekend camping trip or simply enduring the weekly commute. Featuring MYSTERY RANCH’s 3-ZIP design, the backpack has easy access to the main pocket, whether you’re trying to dig all the way through it or quickly access something on top. Compatible with a hydration reservoir, it’s built with 210D ROBIC nylon fabric and comes with expandable bottle pockets on the outside, a removable waist belt, and a double-layered bottom panel for carrying heftier loads.
The Danner x MYSTERY RANCH collaboration is now available on Danner’s website. The Trail 2650 hiking boots are priced at $220 while the Scree 32 backpack is priced at $229.
