Recently, Nissan unveiled their upcoming Ariya, a striking electric SUV that is set to hit the market in 2023. As of today, the Japanese automaker is pulling out its crystal ball for an even deeper look into its future with the announcement of a quartet of electric concept cars.

Dubbed “Nissan Futures,” the array of new futurist EVs consists of the Chill-Out, Max-Out, Hang-Out, and Surf-Out, each of which befittingly serves as an ideal vehicle for owners matching their respective names. Starting off with the Chill-Out, a beyond-sleek, LED-clad crossover EV that makes use of Nissan’s patented CMF-EV platform and features a bewilderingly innovative interior. Moving forward, though, things begin to pick up speed with the sporty Max-Out, a droptop two-seater boasting a razor-sharp teardrop profile with grid-patterned headlights in the foreground of a digital grille. Next up is the Hang-Out, a crossover equipped with a boxy-silhouette and what the manufacturer has labeled “the comfort of a living room,” offering an extension of personal time no matter where you are. Lastly, we’ve got the angular Surf-Out, Nissan’s eco-friendly take on a pickup that’s equipped with off-roading capabilities, a beach-ready rear-lighting scheme, and an optional bed cover. So whether you plan on watching a movie on the Chill-Out’s tablet, heading to the beach in the Surf-Out, speeding things up in the Max-Out, or simply hanging out in the Hang-Out, Nissan is looking to cater to your personality in every which way imaginable.

Needless to say, these concepts from Nissan are out of this world. Having just invested a whopping $18 billion into EV development, it is clear the brand is are going for the green. You can take a further look at each of these concepts on the Nissan website.
