Behold the Cast of Cars from the New ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ Flick

Approximately three-years after the debut of the last live action Transformers movie installment — 2018’s Bumblebee — Paramount has started to reveal info on the next addition to the series, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The movie centers around a storyline inspired by the ’90s Beast Wars animated series and will be produced by Michael Bay, executive produced by Steven Spielberg, and directed by Steven Caple Jr. — the latter of whom has just given us a sneak peak at the transforming vehicles that will star in the upcoming flick.

Official information on the vehicles has yet to be revealed, though the Cleveland-born director did recently post images of what are presumably the Autobots and Decepticon machines from the forthcoming film — all of which are 1980s and 1990s era vehicles. The Autobots appear to be made up of a Porsche 964, a Ducati 916 Monoposto (or 996 to 998), a Volkswagen T1 camper, a second-gen safari-spec Chevy Camaro build, and a Freightliner FLA86 Cabover semi — the last of which will presumably be the form that Optimus Prime will take in the new movie. Comprising the Decepticons is a trio of vehicles made up of a GMC Topkick tow truck, a modified Mack semi-truck, and a heavily customized, body-kitted R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R.

Though only two pictures have been revealed thus far, we do anticipate additional imagery of the movie car cast to slowly trickle in as the film’s release date grows closer. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is currently slated for a release on June 24, 2022. For more info and updates, you can check out Steven Caple Jr’s Instagram page.
