TechArt doesn’t just tune Porsches — the Leonberg-based outfit has spent nearly four decades understanding what makes the 911 tick at its core. Since 1987, founders Thomas Behringer, Reinhold Mattes, and Matthias Kraus have built a reputation for refining Stuttgart’s finest without sacrificing the essence of what makes them special. Their latest creation, the Tsport R package for the 992.2 Carrera T, shows exactly why they remain one of our favorite names in Porsche tuning.

Fiber-Optics

The Carrera T already arrives from the factory as the purist’s 911 — lighter, manual-equipped, stripped of the unnecessary. TechArt saw this as the perfect canvas. Their Tsport R program adds 111hp and 59lb.ft of torque through the TA 092.2/C1 powerkit, pushing the 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six’s output to 505hp and 391lb.ft total. Depending on the tire and aero configuration, the result can give you a 0-60 sprint in 3.4 seconds and a top speed exceeding 187mph. Aside from raw numbers, the package features a sport exhaust system that adapts to your driving mode.

Amping up aerodynamics, the front spoiler, side skirts, and rear diffuser work together to improve airflow and stability, while the optional Spoiler III wing (the more aggressive of two rear wing choices) adds serious downforce.

Four Ways to Own Your Drive

TechArt structures the Tsport R around four packages, each escalating in carbon fiber coverage and exclusivity. For starters, the Anstieg gets you the powerkit, exhaust, and a subtle rear spoiler, while the Höhenmeter package adds exposed carbon on the roof and hood, shaving weight while improving aerodynamics. Kurvenrausch features wider carbon fenders, full aero package, and that ancient bog oak gear shifter we’ll get to in a moment.

Then there’s the top-tier Berggipfel. Every exterior panel that can be carbon, is carbon. The rear window switches to polycarbonate, saving another 4.4lbs. Inside, the Carbon Line kit extends across the dashboard while the sport steering wheel gets leather and Alcantara treatment. TechArt’s Formula VI wheels — 20-inch front, 21-inch rear — complete the package with tire sizes that prioritize grip: 255/35 up front, 315/30 out back.

History You Can Hold

The interior work continues as TechArt’s manufactory handles leather, Alcantara, contrast stitching, and custom trim by hand, tailored to individual specifications.

Highlighting the cabin is that previously mentioned shift knob, which isn’t just generic wood but bog oak, formed from trees submerged in swamps for thousands of years. Compression and carbonization create unique grain patterns in each piece, meaning no two shift knobs are identical.
