Since Rob Dickinson founded Singer back in 2009, the California Porsche tuner has redefined restomod standards, influencing builders to prioritize engineering integrity over power alone. Fast forward to today, and the company has evolved far beyond basic restorations, now offering everything from Classic Turbo builds to the ultra-focused DLS program developed alongside Williams Advanced Engineering. But even with all that pedigree, nothing quite compares to what Singer just delivered with its DLS Turbo.

A 700HP Love Letter to the 934/5
First teased in 2023, the DLS Turbo program pays homage to Porsche’s dominant 934/5 endurance racers from the 1970s — wide-hipped, turbocharged vehicles that tore up SCCA Trans-Am and proved the 911 could evolve into a legitimate race car. The “Sorcerer,” as the owner named it, is the first completed commission from this new service, and it’s everything you’d hope for from Singer’s most ambitious undertaking.
The heart of the operation is a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six that Singer rebuilt from a Type 964 donor block. The engine features water-cooled cylinder heads mated to air-cooled cylinders, an electrically powered fan, and a pair of variable geometry turbochargers. As a result, you get over 700hp and 553lb.ft of torque, all spinning to a screaming 9,000 rpm. Power routes through a six-speed manual with a raised shifter and exposed linkage.

Two Different Options
Singer gives DLS Turbo clients a choice between road and track-focused bodywork configurations. Sorcerer’s owner went full send with the track package, which means a deep front spoiler, exaggerated fender flares, and a massive rear wing that channels serious 934/5 energy. The carbon fiber body — optimized through CFD analysis — comes finished in Fantasia Blue with a graduated effect that darkens toward the rear. It’s a bold choice that works surprisingly well against the Champagne-finished 19-inch front and 20-inch rear forged magnesium centerlock wheels.
Inside, the owner specified Pebble Grey leather seats with Pearl Grey Alcantara centers and Champagne piping throughout. Hand-built floating gauges with Champagne bezels look like the level of craftsmanship you’d find in the watch world.

Engineering At the Forefront
Double wishbone suspension up front and lightweight trailing arms at the rear work alongside CCM-R carbon ceramic brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires to keep all that power manageable. Singer also integrated Bosch ABS, traction control, and stability control with five selectable drive modes (Road, Sport, Track, Off, and Weather), giving drivers the freedom to dial in their preferred level of intervention.
Starting from a stripped Type 964 monocoque with chassis reinforcement, the process takes thousands of hours and includes validation at legendary proving grounds like the Nürburgring, Millbrook, IDIADA, and Nardo.

Recap
Singer Porsche 911 DLS Turbo “Sorcerer”
Singer just dropped “Sorcerer,” the first completed build from its DLS Turbo program — a track-focused 964 restomod packing a twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six that cranks out over 700hp and revs to 9,000 rpm. It’s basically Singer’s love letter to Porsche’s legendary 934/5 endurance racers, complete with aggressive aero, carbon fiber bodywork, and the kind of meticulous craftsmanship that justifies a seven-figure price tag.
