Sean Wotherspoon has made a career out of finding the sweet spot between vintage authenticity and contemporary appeal — first with sneakers, now with cars. Fresh off his multi-colored Porsche 2.7 RS collaboration, the Round Two founder has partnered with Jimmy Howson’s Stuff by Spot to resurrect something even rarer: a 1958 Land Rover Series 2 that’s believed to be one of only three left-hand-drive models in the UK still running on its original chassis.

Wotherspoon’s Creative Evolution

Before turning wrenches on vintage automobiles, Sean Wotherspoon built his reputation flipping vintage sneakers. The Richmond native co-founded Round Two in 2013 at just 23, pioneering a cash-upfront business model that helped the vintage sneaker shop expand from Virginia to major markets like Los Angeles and New York.

His breakout moment came in 2017 when he won Nike’s “Vote Forward” campaign, earning the chance to design his own silhouette. The resulting Air Max 1/97 hybrid — featuring corduroy uppers inspired by vintage Nike hats — became an instant grail upon its 2018 release and remains one of the most coveted sneakers on the resale market. That success opened doors to collaborations with Adidas, Guess, and Asics, establishing Wotherspoon as a bridge between streetwear culture and mainstream fashion, and now the automotive industry.

Heritage Meets Hype

The Land Rover spent over four decades with its original Canadian owner — an engineer who barely drove it — before making its way back to the UK in 2002. Howson acquired the truck earlier this year and spent four months in Essex bringing it back to life, but with Wotherspoon’s signature touch, treating rarity like a canvas for creative reinterpretation.

A Few Dashes of Color

The approach mirrors what made Wotherspoon’s Nike Air Max 1/97 hybrid such a sensation back in 2018. Where that sneaker blended corduroy textures with bold colorways, this Land Rover preserves its utilitarian bones while adding subtle modern flourishes. Most original panels remain intact, but the truck now features a rebuilt engine and gearbox, Wolf alloy wheels, and CarPlay integration tucked discretely into the cabin. The rear seating setup includes built-in speakers, which is a nod to Wotherspoon’s streetwear history. It’s still unmistakably a Series 2, just with a little bit more color.

Pricing & Availability

Sean Wotherspoon and Stuff by Spot’s Land Rover Series 2 is a one-off show car that debuted at Monterey Car Week, so don’t expect to snag one for your driveway. But it signals an interesting direction for automotive customization, treating classic vehicles as storytelling devices rather than museum pieces.
