The van life market has been stuck in a predictable pattern: take a commercial vehicle, cram in the basics, and call it adventure-ready. Robeta Mobil’s new Ananya GlamperVan breaks that cycle entirely, approaching mobile living from the opposite direction, starting with how people actually want to live, then engineering a vehicle around those needs.
The Slovenian company, known for its $350k+ collaboration with F1 driver Ralf Schumacher, has created what they’re calling the world’s first “GlamperVan,” which is a category that prioritizes residential comfort over traditional RV compromises.

A Different Kind of Mobile Philosophy
The Ananya’s layout reads like someone took a luxury apartment and figured out how to make it drive. Instead of the typical van conversion approach (i.e., shrinking everything to fit), Robeta reimagined the entire floor plan around actual living patterns. The L-shaped couch stretches nearly 6.5ft in both directions with over 31″ of depth, meaning it’s actually furniture you’d choose for your home.
The kitchen abandons the camping-stove mentality entirely. Wrapped in Corian Sand Storm countertops that give you meaningful workspace, it includes a Bora Classic gas cooktop with automatic reignition, a full gas oven, and a 130-liter fridge. Basically, you can actually carry over your normal cooking habits despite being miles from home.

The Controversial Bathroom Decision
Instead of a traditional enclosed wet bath, they’ve created a “hybrid hard/soft bathroom compartment” that uses organic curtains for privacy rather than full walls. The space features natural stone floors, microcement walls, and a vessel sink mounted on a tree trunk vanity. This is undeniably beautiful in renderings, but potentially problematic in practice.
The design opens up interior flow and prevents the claustrophobic feeling of most van bathrooms. But asking people to pay nearly $300K for curtain-based privacy feels like a gamble that could backfire spectacularly. Robeta’s betting on yacht-inspired openness over traditional RV practicality.

Engineering the Weight Away
With technical execution, PET foam boards replace traditional plywood construction, saving about 432lbs, or the equivalent of two adult passengers. The 8020 aerospace-grade aluminum framing system handles structural requirements while keeping weight down too, and the central wardrobe design (replacing the typical mid-van bathroom) creates 7.2cu.ft of storage plus a Tiny Wash washer/dryer combo.
Promising over six days of off-grid survival, you get power from an EcoFlow 10kWh system with dual 450W solar panels. Likewise, the 160-liter freshwater tank doubles the capacity of a typical van while also giving you water for the washer without hookups.
