Porsche’s Sonderwunsch division, working alongside F.A.’s son Mark, created something fitting for the occasion: a 90-unit run of the 911 GT3 90 F.A. Porsche that pulls directly from the designer’s personal G-Series 911 he drove in the ’80s.
Green Machine
The special edition GT3 wears F.A. Green Metallic, a custom color riffing on the Oak Green of Ferdinand Alexander’s own 911. It’s built on the GT3 Touring platform wingless variant and rolls on satin black Sport Classic wheels with center-lock hubs bearing the 1963 Porsche crest. The rear engine grille gets a gold “90 F.A. Porsche” badge, but the real homages show up inside.
The cabin features Truffle Brown Club Leather seats with a specially developed F.A. Grid-Weave fabric pattern on the centers, inspired by F.A.’s favorite sport coat. This same fabric lines the glove box and trunk mat. You’ll find an open-pore walnut shift knob, Limestone contrast stitching throughout, and a gold dashboard plaque with the original 911’s silhouette alongside F.A.’s signature. Another plaque beneath the shift boot confirms your car as “ONE of 90.”
Track-Ready DNA Intact
Mechanically, this stays true to the GT3 Touring formula. The 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six produces 502hp and revs to 9,000 rpm — still one of the best-sounding engines in production. With the PDK transmission, it hits 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and tops out at 193 mph. The 992-generation GT3 brought motorsport tech like double-wishbone front suspension and that swan-neck rear wing (though the Touring swaps it for a deployable spoiler), so you’re getting legitimate race-derived hardware here.
