Debuting at the 1964 Geneva Motor Show, the Lamborghini 350 GT marked the beginning of the Raging Bull’s long legacy as one of the the most important manufacturers, and served as the baseline for many models to come. To celebrate 60 years since its debut, the second Lamborghini 350 GT produced just made its way back to Geneva.

The 350 GT started out as a prototype in 1963 (orignally called the 350 GTV) designed by Franco Scaglione and built at Carrozzeria Sargiotto, and debuted at the Geneva Motor show back in 1964 as a production model. To celebrate 60 year since this inaugural release, this 350 GT with the second chassis number (restored by Polo Storico Lamborghini) hit the streets of Geneva once again. Sporting the same chassis engineered by Giampaolo Dallara (considered one of the best chassis designers in the world) and 3.5-liter V12 engine designed by Giotto Bizzarrini, the car was adapted for road use by engineer Paolo Stanzan and finished with aluminum bodywork courtesy of Carrozzeria Touring (known for being one of the best builders at the time). Unfortunately, the first-ever 350 GT produced was destroyed, so the car seen here is the second model to leave the factory, and is currently the oldest Lamborghini production car.

The first 350 GT was delivered to Livorno-born drummer Giampiero Giusti, who was a part of one of the most important jazz ensembles in Italy, kicking off Lamborghini’s long realtionship with celebrities and the entertainment industry. Though it’s a far cry from the Raging Bull’s modern-day supercars, the GT350 nonetheless possesses a myriad of features that have become signature elements for Lamborghini over the years, from its hallmark V12 engine to its generally-exotic bodywork design.
