Kevin Hart’s custom 2024 Ford Bronco is headed to auction later this month, and it’s not your typical celebrity restomod. Instead of taking a classic Bronco and modernizing it, Hart did the reverse, buying a brand-new sixth-generation model and having it restyled to look like it rolled off the line in 1971.
Working with builder Vintage Modern, he stripped away the modern bodywork and replaced it with custom panels that channel the first-generation Bronco. The one-of-one build goes up for sale at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction with no reserve this week.

First-Gen Facade, Sixth-Gen Bones
For the exterior transformation, Hart and Vintage Modern swapped the factory panels for custom bodywork that mimics the ’60s- and ’70s-era Bronco, complete with the iconic round headlights, simple horizontal grille, narrow vertical taillights, and indelible orange side markers. Finished in Triple Black with matte accents, it’s paired with a removable soft top and BFGoodrich all-terrain rubber. Under the skin, though, it’s still very much a 2024 Bronco, featuring Ford’s 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 pushing 330hp and 415lb.ft of torque through a 10-speed automatic. Fox Factory Racing suspension and Roush intake/exhaust round out the performance upgrades.

Where Old Meets New
Inside, there are hand-stitched Blackrock leather covers nearly every surface, while “Vintage” script hits the console and wheel. The digital driver display and center touchscreen stay put as well, while a Kenwood audio system handles the sound. All the contemporary safety gear (anti-lock brakes, airbags, crumple zones) remains intact.

The Bronco’s Comeback Story
Ford’s decision to bring back the Bronco in 2021 marked the end of a 25-year absence. The sixth-generation model tapped into decades of pent-up demand for a legitimate Jeep Wrangler rival, offering removable doors and roof panels alongside serious off-road hardware like the HOSS suspension system and up to 11.6″ of ground clearance. Hart’s build takes advantage of that matured platform, using the mechanical stability of a fourth-year production model as the foundation for his retro transformation.

Kevin Hart’s custom 2024 Ford Bronco is hitting the Barrett-Jackson auction block later this month, and it’s basically a brand-new truck that’s been restyled to look like a first-generation model from the early ’70s.
