While Gran Turismo 7 has garnered mixed reviews from critics and purists alike, it’s hard to argue that the premium driving simulator has much competition, thus proven by the series’ line of concept cars, Vision GT. This time, the PlayStation exclusive is unleashing a head-turning Prancing Horse to this ongoing collection of in-game models.

Seeing as there are no limitations in the digital world, the conceptual hybrid boasts a blistering top speed of 217mph and well over 1000hp, totaling a whopping 1,337. These eye-popping specs are thanks to three electric motors that power the Ferrari Vision’s all-wheel drive. Moreover, the aero-dynamic single-seater is equipped with a bolstered iteration of the V6 engine that powers the 499P hypercar, which will represent the iconic marque at Le Mans in 2023.

Design-wise, the in-game exclusive takes noticeable cues from mid-century Ferrari prototypes that successfully brought the Le Mans trophy to Maranello nearly ten times in fifteen years. Meanwhile, its interior implements futuristic transparent materials that echo its advanced design. Albeit a virtual car, the Vision GT is a tribute to Ferrari’s championed heritage and consistent willingness to deliver the best result possible, even if it’s only in a video game.

The Ferrari Vision Concept will be available to drive in Gran Turismo 7 starting December 23, serving as an early Christmas gift to PS5 owners. Luckily, a full-scale model will be on display alongside other one-offs at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello.
