Since its launch in 2015, Germany’s Hookie Co. has grown into one of the planet’s leading custom motorcycle shops, with an ever-increasing portfolio of legitimately world-class one-off two-wheelers. For its latest endeavor, however. The Dresden-based shop has taken things in an expected direction, applying its design and manufacturing expertise to the creation of a next-gen camper launched under a new brand known as Days On Tracks.

Dubbed the Days On Tracks Alpaca — or DOT Alpaca — this camper is a minimalistic all-in-one unit with a lightweight all-season shell. What sets the Alpaca apart from other camper shells is how its design combines a rooftop tent and a loading area with opening window hatches into a single space. This setup is made possible thanks to a special mechanism that securely connects the roof tent to the pickup truck bed. Alongside the rooftop tent — which is completely removable — the Alpaca also boasts a full-size 98” x 51” bed and color-changeable ambient LED lighting.

Made from triple-powder-coated aluminum, the shell is offered with four different rooftop tent color options, plus three soft door color options, or aluminum doors clad in powder coating, wood, or carbon fiber. All of the wood present on the camper is also sourced from sustainably managed forests. The DOT ALPACA Camper is also compatible with a myriad of common off-road and overlanding accessories including numerous auxiliary lights, roof racks, and awnings. Standing at 98.4” tall when open, the entire camper weighs in at just below 375lbs, too, minimizing the amount that the camper mitigates range and fuel consumption.
