2021 was yet another watershed year for the James Bond franchise. Daniel Craig, who’s been 007 since Casino Royale in 2006, appeared in his fifth and final movie in the series. Unlike previous chapters, Craig’s tenure was filled with deeper backstories, heavier stakes, and an overall darker tone.
For the finale, No Time to Die, Triumph Motorcycles released a pair of 007 Edition models for the Scrambler 1200 and Tiger 900 — the first-ever official motorcycles made in connection with the franchise. 250 models of each were made with one each going to none other than Craig himself. Today, Bonham’s has announced that they will be auctioning off these two personal bikes owned by the actor, and they will come with his signature and some other goodies.
Just Your Ordinary, Everyday Bike Stunt
If you know anything about the Bond films, you know that they love pushing the bounds of practical stunts, especially with cars and motorcycles. In No Time to Die, Craig’s character rides a commandeered Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC up a ramp onto an Italian market square. The stunt was performed by Paul “Fast Eddy” Edmondson, who also happens to be a four-time World Enduro Champion — a feat that only took him a seven-stretch in the ‘90s to achieve.
Triumph Auction Details
Auctioned off will be two Triumph motorcycles in separate lots. Since they were owned by Daniel Craig personally, they have low edition numbers — like, very low. Registered in the actor’s name, the Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition is #3 out of 250, while the Tiger 900 Bond Edition is a staggering #1 out of 250. Both feature plenty of 007 badging and Craig’s autograph, and come with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the actor and Triumph CEO Nick Bloor.
The winners of these lots (assuming there will be two) will get sent to Triumph Adventure Experience in Wales, U.K. for a riding experience with 007 stunt coordinator Lee Morrison and Paul Edmondson.
