Cadillac Fully Reveals Its Forthcoming All-Electric Flagship CELESTIQ Halo Car

It was almost exactly one month ago that Cadillac teased its forthcoming CELESTIQ model — an ultra-premium and thoroughly luxurious EV that takes aim at the likes of Bentley and Rolls-Royce with what will reportedly cost more than a quarter-million dollars. And while the initial teaser revealed very little of what the upcoming Cadillac would look like, the Wrest and Crest company has now officially pulled the cover off of the fully-electric CELESTIQ… and it’s truly a sight to behold.

Cadillac’s vehicles once represented some of the nicest, most luxurious, and most well-appointed automobiles that money could buy, and while the famed American marque has since been overtaken in the market by Europe’s finest luxury car makers, Cadillac hopes its new flagship model will help it to reestablish its dominance as a key player in the market for the world’s most exclusive cars. As such, the CELESTIQ will come loaded with cutting-edge technology, with a high-tech interior that features a variable-transmission Smart Glass Roof, GM’s Ultra Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology, and five advanced high-definition LED interactive displays including a 55” advanced LED display and a pillar-to-pillar Freeform display.

The CELESTIQ also takes inspiration from Cadillac’s pre-war-era bespoke V-16-powered coaches — which featured some of the most advanced powertrains on earth at the time — and as such will boast a wildly-state-of-the-art all-electric battery and motor setup. Riding on an ultra-sleek set of turbine-style seven-arm wheels, this forthcoming all-electric luxury grand tourer will also boast more 3D-printed components than any GM vehicle with more than 100 cosmetic and structural parts being created through the use of additive manufacturing of metals and polymers.

The version of the EV being shown is thus far just being described as a “show car,” though we anticipate the CELESTIQ to enter production in the near future. Official pricing and availability still have yet to be revealed, though Cadillac says additional details surrounding the CELESTIQ will be made available later this year.
