True to form, the BRABUS 800 used the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC as a template and elevated the already stellar all-wheel-drive SUV to an unprecedented level of style, performance, and luxuriousness. BRABUS augmented the BRABUS 800’s 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine with their signature PowerXtra B40S-800 performance upgrade, which resulted in a staggering 800hp and 701lb-ft of torque. These upgrades help launch the BRABUS 800 to a speedy 4.5-second 0-62 time and an eye-popping top speed of 186 mph. Of course, the BRABUS 800 wouldn’t be a BRABUS build if its looks didn’t match its heightened performance. Aesthetically speaking, BRABUS changed the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC’s shiny chrome exterior to feature a “dark shadow gray” glaze, as well as adding their Monoblock M “PLATINUM EDITION” hi-tech forged wheels in a king-sized 24-inch diameter. Moreover, the BRABUS designers developed aerodynamically efficient exposed-carbon bodywork components specifically for the BRABUS 800 to reduce lift at high speeds.
The interior of the BRABUS 800 is nothing short of magnificent, featuring a premium, soft, and breathable leather in a bright Leonis Orange color. For the back seats, BRABUS’ interior designers added a tailor-made business console with two retractable tables to accommodate the schedules of the busiest gearheads.
