After an extended hiatus, Aston Martin made its grand return to Formula 1 racing in 2021. Despite the fledgling nature of the team, Aston Martin Racing’s new AMR21 race car has already managed to amass a myriad of podiums — resulting in the squad now holding 2nd place overall in the ongoing season. To celebrate the new F1 team and its success, the elite British marque has unveiled a new limited edition version of its ultra-high-performance SUV with the Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition.
Looking nearly identical to the DBX707 F1 safety car — albeit without the official FIA medical car’s roof-mounted emergency lights and F1 graphics kit — the DBX707 AMR23 Edition comes cloaked in a custom Podium Green livery juxtaposed via lime-green aero kit accents. Putting a modern spin on Aston Martin’s traditional racing colors, this new livery was plucked straight off of AMR’s current F1 entry. Boasting a slew of exposed carbon elements, the bodywork of the limited edition SUV also sports badges from the brand’s ultra-exclusive Q by Aston Martin division. What’s more, the DBX707 AMR23 Edition also rides on a set of black 23” multi-spoke alloy wheels fitted with British racing green calipers and carbon ceramic discs.
Despite the F1-inspired makeover, Aston Martin has opted to leave the model’s powertrain untouched — though this is far from a bad thing considering that the DBX707 already represents one of the very fastest SUVs in the world. Putting down 707HP and 663ftlbs of torque, the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 at the heart of the DBX707 enables the vehicle to clock 0-60mph runs in just 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of over 190mph. Trimmed in Onyx Black upholstery complemented via Eifel Green accents and lime accent stitching, the interior of the DBX707 AMR23 Edition is brimming with carbon fiber, with exposed carbon being used to craft the cabin’s seats, door cards, instrument surrounds, and trim package. Special AMR23 logos also adorn the cockpit.
Produced by the brand’s bespoke Q by Aston Martin division, the 2024 Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition is available for order now. While pricing and production numbers have yet to be revealed, we anticipate this limited edition model to cost substantially more than the regular DBX707 SUV — which starts at a little over $200,000.
