Triumph doesn’t hand out the Factory Custom badge very often. Since the program launched in 2019 with the Thruxton TFC, only four bikes have earned it across seven years, with the Rocket 3 and a pair of Bobbers rounding out the roster. Number five just landed, and it might be the best fit yet. Say hello to the 2027 Speed Twin 1200 TFC.

Black, Gold, and a Healthy Dose of Carbon
The paint is called Obsidian Gold, a metallic black base loaded with gold flake and finished with a marbled gold stripe across the tank. Triumph carried the theme across the whole bike, pairing blacked-out engine covers, fork legs, and rear sprocket with a gold chain, gold anodized fork lowers, and gold suspension adjusters.

Carbon fiber handles the rest. The fenders, side covers, heel guards, and exhaust tips all get the glossy woven treatment, and at 478 pounds wet, the TFC undercuts every other bike in the Speed Twin lineup.

Öhlins Moves In Up Front
The biggest mechanical upgrade sits ahead of the rider. The Marzocchi fork from the RS and Café Racer Edition is gone, replaced by a fully adjustable 43mm Öhlins unit clamped beneath a billet aluminum top yoke that wears each bike’s individual edition number.
Twin Öhlins remote-reservoir shocks handle the rear, while Brembo Stylema M4.30 calipers bite 320mm discs through an adjustable MCS lever.

Same Heart, Louder Lungs
Nothing changes inside the 1,200cc parallel twin, and honestly, nothing needed to. The High Power tune still produces 103.5 horsepower at 7,750 rpm and 83 lb-ft of torque peaking at a low 4,250 rpm, right where a bike like this wants it.

The soundtrack does improve, courtesy of twin Akrapovič titanium silencers capped in carbon. The electronics suite carries over from the RS, including a bi-directional quickshifter, cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control, and three ride modes.
