First established in 1902, Triumph boasts an expansive catalog of two-wheelers that includes everything from travel-ready adventure bikes to track-focused supersports to naked commuter models — and that’s not even mentioning the Hinckley firm’s recent foray into the motocross segment. What the brand is best-known for, however, is undoubtedly its Bonneville-based Modern Classics lineup.
To celebrate the Bonnie models’ ties to yesteryear, the British firm has now announced new, limited run of special Icon Edition variants of the majority of its Modern Classics range for the 2025 model year — all of which get model-exclusive visual elements and throwback branding from Triumph’s early days.
The Basics
Triumph’s Icon Edition motorcycles are a collection of limited edition models all comprised of bikes using the retro-inspired Bonneville platform. Furthering the vintage-themed nature of the collection are a special throwback livery and numerous additional details that all draw inspiration from Triumph’s early 1900s aesthetics.
The Bikes
Triumph’s Icon Edition Motorcycle Collection is comprised of seven bikes in total. This includes both the T100 and T120 Bonneville models, the Scrambler 900 along with the X and XE-spec Scrambler 1200 models, plus the Bonneville Speedmaster. Rounding out the seven-bike collection is an Icon Edition version of Triumph’s best-selling Bonneville Bobber.
The Paint
Distinguishing the Icon Edition models from existing bikes in Triumph’s Modern Classics range is collection-exclusive paint job made up of a combination of Sapphire Black and Aluminum Silver. These glossy hues are complemented via various brushed aluminum elements and hand-painted gold pin striping. Completing the package is a special Triumph script logo adorning the tank of each limited edition model. Borrowed from the firm’s historic archives, this script logo was originally used in 1907 — just half-a-decade after the company’s inception.
What Makes It Special
Triumph’s Icon Edition collection leans into the already-heavily-retro-inspired nature of its Modern Classics range. Not only is each included model based on Triumph’s ‘60s and ‘70s-era Bonneville bikes, but they also sport liveries that tie directly back to the Hinckley firm’s models of yesteryear. Furthering this theme is the gold pin striping painted onto the bikes by hand — just asTriumph did in its early days. The icing on the cake is the gold script logo Triumph used back in 1907.
