The thing about classic cars is the number of remaining models dwindles with each passing year. One of our favorites of all time is the Alfa Romeo GTA (or Giulia GTA), produced from 1965 to ‘69 and only seeing about 500 examples made for homologation. Yet, thanks to restomod firm Totem Automobili, we’re not only able to have more streamlined access to enhanced versions of the GTA, which it calls the GT Super, but we’re able to customize how we want it to look and perform.

Totem has said that it will only make 40 of these cars in total, but the most recent example — the 12th — is arguably its most impressive yet.

Lightest V6 Ever?

Dubbed Iperia, this one-off GT Super houses a 2.8-liter 90° V6 twin-turbo engine developed in tandem with Italtecnica and delivers some impressive specs. Billed by the Italian firm as the lightest V6 twin-turbo ever, the engine weighs just 397lbs and puts out 591hp and 516lb.ft of torque in its standard configuration with a 0-to-60 time of 3.2 seconds. Of course, the buyer has the option of ramping this up to 739hp and 627lb.ft of torque.

Carbon Fiber Galore

The body of the GT Super is inherently lightweight as well thanks to a bespoke carbon fiber monocoque chassis, a carbon fiber engine bay, and a titanium exhaust system. The dashboard and internal supports are also made from structural carbon fiber, which has been reinforced with Kevlar in certain spots.

While you can configure the paint coat on other GT Super models, this particular example comes in a beautiful vintage green with a metallic finish. This is a bespoke coat made exclusively for the Iperia. There are also carbon fiber elements on both the exterior and interior, including on the door panels and racing-inspired bucket seats. The carbon fiber has a unique pattern here, shifting from diamond to square shapes depending on how you’re looking at it.

The inside also boasts premium Italian leather throughout, including the seat padding and steering wheel cover. Meanwhile, there’s a gated shifter for the six-speed manual transmission as well.
