Though RUF has been wrenching on Porsches since the 1960s, it isn’t until now that the famed tuner and marque has set up shop in the United States. After building a location at The Concours Club in Miami within the facility’s 2.5-mile race track — a closed course circuit that lets customers test their new RUF on the track right after being handed the keys — the newly-launched RUF North America has now began selling cars on U.S. shores. And the first US-production-spec vehicle from RUF North America is the its 2024 SCR Supercar.

The SCR marks RUF’s second model built on its proprietary carbon-fiber monocoque chassis. This state-of-the-art frame has been complemented via an integrated roll cage and a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension setup equipped with race-derived horizontally-opposed coilovers that are electronically-adjustable. The car has also been fitted with race-grade internally-ventilated and cross-drilled ceramic-composite brakes. In total, the RUF SCR tips the scales at just 2,756 pounds at the curb.

Capitalizing on the SCR’s svelte weight, RUF has bestowed the vehicle with its own in-house-designed, hand-built engine — a naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six. Bolted to the engine is a RUF-designed six-speed manual paired with a limited-slip differential that sends 510hp and 346.6ft-lbs of torque to the SCR’s rear wheels. This ultimately allows the supercar to achieve a top speed of 198.8mph (320km/h). Cloaked in Ivory white paint, the first example to be unveiled by RUF North America also features a cabin optioned with black and grey Alcantara upholstery and RUF’s carbon-fiber lollipop bucket seats with Pepita inserts.

Priced at €930,000 (~ $1,013,750), the 2024 RUF SCR is limited to just 70 units. Sadly — and frankly unsurprisingly — each one of these seven-figure supercars is already spoken for. Unlike other restomods and tuned builds from other elite Porsche shops, RUF’s new 993-based supercar — like all RUF cars — features its own unique VIN, too.
