Triumph & Breitling Debut a Limited-Edition Motorcycle & Chronograph Collab

With a shared love of craftsmanship, mechanics, and the marrying of form and function, Breitling has long had a genuine appreciation for motorcycles. And after announcing a joint effort with Triumph Motorcycles back in the summer of 2021, the Swiss watchmaker has now revealed its first official collaboration with the Hinckley marque from the pair’s new long-term partnership with a limited-edition run of Speed Twin motorcycles and an accompanying limited-edition chronograph.

Coming on the heels of Breitling’s earlier collabs with Norton and Deus Ex Machina, this limited-edition Bonneville variant is based on Triumph’s latest Speed Twin, though it features a slew of upgraded components and bespoke model-specific details. The bike comes cloaked in a Polychromatic Blue livery with hand-painted Breitling logos that was inspired by the blue dials on 1950s Breitling chronographs and the blue Triumph Thunderbird 6T famously ridden by Marlon Brando in 1953’s The Wild One.

Retaining the regular version’s 99-hp 1,200-cc parallel-twin engine, the Breitling edition Speed Twin also boasts a jet black headlight shell and side panels, higher-spec fully-adjustable Öhlins piggy-back rear shocks with gloss black springs, Breitling-logoed, dark-anodized billet machined aluminum clutch and alternator covers, a model-exclusive perforated black leather seat with contrasting gray accent stitching and an embroidered “B” logo, and a bespoke twin-clock instrumentation setup that was designed in partnership with Breitling and takes inspiration from the collab’s limited-edition timepiece. What’s more, alongside the Breitling-spec Speed Twin, the collab has also given way to two limited-edition Breitling Top Time Triumph blue dial chronographs, one with a personalized serial number matching the bike that will be available exclusively to buyers of the Breitling x Triumph motorcycle, and another offered to the general public that’s still of the limited-edition variety.

The 2023 Triumph Speed Twin Breitling Edition has been priced at $18,300 — a $5,800 premium over the base model Speed Twin. The limited-edition Bonnie will also be restricted to only 270 units worldwide — with the production number being a nod to the Speed Twin’s 270-degree parallel-twin engine. In addition to an individually numbered handlebar clamp, each unit will also be sold with an included certificate of authenticity signed by the CEOs of both Triumph and Breitling.
