The successor to the Series III, Land Rover’s Defender 110 is a thoroughly iconic British-built 4×4 that was first introduced in 1993. And with 2023 marking the One-Ten’s 30th anniversary, Land Rover has opted to celebrate the occasion via a limited run of special-edition Defenders.
Christened the Defender 30th Anniversary Edition, this 2023 model year 110 P300 S variant pays homage to the 1993 Defender 110 First Edition. Taking inspiration from the First Edition model from 30 years ago, the new limited-edition model features a Fuji White livery, a white-powder coated and brush-finished cross-car beam, and a special set of gloss white 18” steel wheels. Each unit is also equipped with a model-exclusive heritage “Defender 30th Anniversary Edition” badge that denotes each example’s production number out of the 500 specimens being made.
Bolstering the luxury SUV’s off-roading capabilities are an expedition roof rack, a tailgate-mounted full-sized spare wheel, a custom front bumper, classic mud flaps fore and aft, fixed side steps, a deployable ladder, wheel arch extensions, and Land Rover’s Off-Road package. In addition to coming loaded up with LR’s Cold Climate Pack and Tow Pack, this limited-edition Defender also gets a sliding panoramic roof, a special activity key, and premium LED headlights — all as standard. Moving inside, the Defender 30th Anniversary Edition’s cabin also pays tribute to the 1993 First Edition, with seats trimmed in ebony-grained leather, special badging, and all-weather rubber floor mats. All in all, the new limited-edition model manages to capture the rugged spirit of its predecessor in a markedly more luxurious and high-tech package.
The 2023 Land Rover Defender 30th Anniversary Edition is available now at select dealerships, with pricing starting at $75,000.
