A fortnight ago, Dodge pulled the cover off of its fully-electric Charger Daytona SRT EV concept car, giving the motoring public a glimpse at the American marque’s future range of battery-powered muscle cars. As the company prepares for a shift to an all-electric lineup, however, Dodge has opted to give its petrol-powered high-performance vehicle range one final farewell with seven different “Last Call” Charger and Challenger models — the latest of which to be unveiled is the Dodge Charger Super Bee.
Coming on the heels of the already-unveiled Challenger Shakedown, the Charger Super Bee is the second special-edition model in the Last Call lineup. Representing the highest performance Charger Super Bee ever produced, this 2023 model year car continues its namesake’s tradition of combining dragstrip-ready performance with daily drivability. The Charger Super Bee features a slew of performance upgrades including adaptive damping suspension with a dedicated Drag Mode, an SRT hood with a functional intake scoop, dual heat extractors and SRT black exhaust tips, a Mopar hood pin kit, four-pot Brembo brakes, and drag wheels shod in drag radial tires — all as standard.
The Charger Super Bee also comes cloaked in a throwback livery with special Super Bee graphics adorning the hood and rear quarter panels. What’s more, the special edition also boasts Super Bee badging on the grille and front fenders, as well as Super Bee logos on the instrument cluster and seat backs. The model also comes equipped with options from the Plus Group and Carbon/Suede packages. The new Super Bee will also be limited to only 1,000 units in total — 500 Scat Pack models; and 500 Scat Pack Widebody examples.
Though pricing has yet to be announced, the company has stated that the 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee will be available for purchase beginning in the Spring of 2023. Dodge will also continue unveiling the next five cars in the Last Call range over the next two months, culminating in the reveal seventh and final model at this year’s SEMA Show.
