Formed in 1977, BRABUS is an elite tuning house that’s widely recognized as being the world’s premier producer of modified G-Wagens. And for the German brand’s latest upgraded take on the AMG SUV, it’s combined the strength, utility, and cargo space of its XLP models with the track-ready performance of a supercar, giving way to the BRABUS P 900 Rocket Edition “One of Ten” SUV.
Using the $365,000 Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV as the vehicle’s starting point, the P 900 Rocket Edition “One of Ten” sees the donor model’s chassis stretched by 19.7”, before being reinforced and fitted with a pickup bed with SoftTeak flooring and carbon fiber sidewalls with an 8.07” overhang. At the heart of the limited-edition luxury sport utility vehicle is BRABUS’ twin-turbocharged Rocket 900 4.5-liter V8 engine which puts down 900hp and 922ft-lbs of torque — allowing for a 3.7-second 0-60mph time and an electronically limited top speed of 174mph. Fitted with a high-performance valve-controlled sports exhaust system with carbon tailpipes, the Rocket 900 V8 also sits beneath BRABUS’ new partially transparent “PowerView” hood.
Additional upgrades to the AMG-Wagen also include 24” BRABUS Monoblock Z “Platinum Edition” forged wheels with full carbon fiber aero discs, BRABUS RideControl aluminum coilover suspension that allows the SUV’s ride height to be adjusted by up to 1.77”, and a full BRABUS Widestar carbon aero kit complete with flared fenders, a custom rear diffuser, and a front splitter. Brimming with over 200 individually modified parts, the bespoke interior of the luxury pickup has also been extensively reworked and now boasts fully handcrafted two-tone leather upholstery with BRABUS’ “Seashell Diamond” quilting pattern, a carbon steering wheel with Race paddle shifters, a full carbon trim package, and a dash-embedded Panerai Luminor design analog watch.
The 2023 BRABUS P 900 Rocket Edition “One of Ten” is available for order now with pricing set at €773,069 (~ $760,250). And, as the LE model’s name suggests, the P 900 Rocket Edition “One of Ten” will be limited to just 10 units worldwide. BRABUS will also be producing ten examples of its new 900 XLP “One of Ten” — an off-road focused model with a taller ride height and a shorter bed.
