After what seems like an eternity of speculation, waiting, and unsubstantiated rumors, Aston Martin has finally debuted its long-awaited new addition to the DBX luxury SUV family, proving once again that good things come to those who wait. The British automaker has made bold claims over the last several months that its next SUV would not only be the most powerful SUV in its lineup but the most powerful luxury SUV on the market. It has indeed backed up those claims with the ultra-capable DBX707, a true automotive masterpiece.
Combining beauty, luxury, and a flat ton of power, the DBX707 truly is the pinnacle of SUVs. It sports a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 with a jaw-dropping output of 697HP and nearly 664lb-ft of torque. This enhanced power gives the SUV a blistering top speed of 193mph and a 0-62 time of just 3.3 seconds. The behemoth upgrade in power comes courtesy of the Aston’s ball bearing turbochargers and a bespoke engine calibration which generates more power and torque.
The DBX707’s incredible performance capabilities match its unrivaled power. Its 9-speed “wet clutch” automatic transmission empowers the SUV to handle its enhanced torque and switch gears quicker than a standard torque converter transmission. Moreover, the new DBX features carbon ceramic brakes that are gripped by 6-piston calipers which reduce the overall weight and increase responsiveness. Equally as important, the new SUV sports an upgraded electronic limited-slip rear differential and an optimized air suspension system that gives the DBX707 unsurpassed handling for its class.
From a design perspective, the DBX707 is sportier than Aston Martin’s other DBX variants, featuring an enlarged satin chrome grille, new air intake valves, and a more aggressive sculpted profile and rear. Aston Martin has yet to release pricing information on the 2023 DBX707, however, the British automaker stated in a press release that it plans on beginning deliveries for the SUV in early Q2 of 2022
