Engineered from the ground up to conquer obstacles that even regular dirtbikes would have serious trouble with, a trials bike is a unique style of motorcycle that is designed to be as nimble, agile, and lightweight as possible. And while the Vertigo Motors brand already produces a top-notch range of production trials bike models, the company has now debuted what’s almost certainly its most lightweight and top-shelf offering to date with the new Titanium R Limited Edition.
An ultra-premium take on a cutting-edge trials bike, the Titanium R Limited Edition is constructed around a titanium chassis that houses a potent two-stroke single-cylinder engine. Equipped with a new intake and exhaust system with a titanium muffler, the engine is fortified via a detachable machined titanium clutch cover, a 6mm 7075 aluminum Costa Parts skid-plate, and a suite of carbon fiber engine caps. In addition to receiving a three-way Reiger mono-shock setup with a new titanium support, the Ti-framed trials model also gets a top-of-the-line Kashima Gold coating Tech Factory fork, making it the first and only trials model on the market to feature this front-end setup.
Other highlights on the limited-edition two-wheeler include a 2.3-liter tank, a cast aluminum swing-arm, a 185mm rotor bit by a four-pot front caliper, a rear 150mm disc pinched by a two-piston unit, Renthal Fatbar handlebars, titanium Raptor footpegs, red-anodized adjustable levers, and a Morad wheelset with a 21” front hoop and an 18” rear item, both of which come shod in Dunlop D803GP rubber. Weighing only 145lbs, the entire bike comes adorned in custom Snake Skin vinyl wraps, adding both style points and protection.
Available in both 247cc and 300cc versions, the 2022 Vertigo Motors Titanium R Limited Edition trials bike is limited to only 40 units worldwide — each of which will carry a serialized production plaque. Vertigo has yet to unveil pricing info, though interested parties can contact the company via its website.
