It was almost exactly two years ago to the day that Husqvarna pulled the cover off of its Norden adventure motorcycle concept at EICMA in 2019. And after a long wait, the Swedish marque has now revealed the final production version of its highly-anticipated ADV bike with the all-new Norden 901.
Built for spirited on-road and off-road riding, the 2022 Norden 901 features a slew of adventure-ready items such as a spoked 21″ front and 18″ rear wheel-set shod in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR rubber, a full set of Dakar-style bodywork, a 19-liter extended-range tank, an all-LED suite of lighting derived from the Husqvarna Motorsports Rally department, Bosche ABS with a special off-road mode, cornering traction control, multiple ride modes including an off-road mode and an optional “Explorer” mode, and a top-shelf WP APEX suspension setup affording 8.6″ of travel up front and 8.46″ in the rear. The Norden 901’s Chromium-molybdenum main chassis has also been paired with a steel trellis subframe that was designed to accommodate gear and luggage attachments. Tipping the scales at just under 450lbs (dry), Husky’s new adventure bike is powered by a skid-plate-protected 103.25-hp liquid-cooled 889cc DOHC parallel-twin that’s been paired with a ride-by-wire throttle and a six-speed sequential gearbox with an anti-hop slipper clutch. The Norden 901 also features a 33.6″ seat height, cruise control, a steering damper, and a Bluetooth-connected TFT display, all as standard, though the company is also offering a host of optional upgrades including an Akrapovič exhaust and a taller rally-style windscreen, just to name a few.
The 2022 Husqvarna Norden 901 adventure motorcycle will be available in select markets beginning later this month. Pricing for the Swedish-built ADV model starts at $13,999.
