The custom motorcycle scene is only growing more crowded by the day, making it increasingly difficult to stand out amongst a sea of half-baked builds. To make matters worse, many shops are working with similar base bikes, meaning there are countless imitations of any given style. Every so often, however, there comes a truly exceptional build that manages to capture the current zeitgeist whilst still separating itself as something unique.
Case in point: this 1974 BMW R90S scrambler — dubbed ‘The Banker’ — by Injustice Customs. While the bike is familiar in formula to other custom boxer twins, Injustice’s execution is in a league of its own. The bespoke subframe, for instance, is completely handmade, designed and welded without any help from CAD. The suspension, too, is second to none, as the bike now rides on some Öhlins FGRT font forks and STX46 rear shocks. And that’s not all; elsewhere, Injustice has reworked the running gear and updated the cockpit, giving the R90 Brembo brakes and Cognito Moto hubs, as well as a set of trimmed Renthal bars and a low-profile LED light. As if that wasn’t enough, though, Injustice Customs even treated the engine a thorough refresh before fitting it with a pair of Dell’Orto PHM carbs, custom headers, and exclusive SC Project mufflers. Riding on some Heidenau K60 enduro rubber, it’s made only better by its beautiful green tank, black cerakote componentry, and clean diamond-stitched seat.
