Despite introducing its inaugural M car in 1978 with the M1, it wasn’t until last year that BMW debuted its first-ever M-badged motorcycle with its M 1000 RR — a road-legal homologation special that the Bavarian brand claimed is the closest the public can get to Tom Sykes’ World Superbike racer. And while only 500 units of the 212-HP literbike were produced, LEGO Technic is now offering a more accessible path to owning the more than $30,000 superbike with an all-new M 1000 RR kit.

Spanning 17” in length, this 1:5 scale model of the 190-mph Bavarian superbike is comprised of 1,920 pieces. Born out of a partnership between LEGO Technic and BMW Motorrad, the kit boasts a slew of impressive details including functional front and rear suspension, an actual three-speed gearbox, a working chain final drive, and a replica of the Double R’s 999cc inline-four engine. On top of sporting an impressive 1:5 scale version of the superbike’s bridge-type cast aluminum frame and swing-arm, smaller details on the M1KRR have also been brought to life in this kit, including the model’s M Carbon Wheels, carbon fiber aerodynamic winglets, and iconic M race livery.

Slated for a release on January 1, 2022, the LEGO Technic BMW M 1000 RR kit has been priced at $230. And, in addition to the 1,920-piece, 1:5 scale motorcycle, this set is also sold with an included rear paddock stand.

Purchase: $230
