Kammok’s Crosswing Is a Car Awning that Sets Up in 3 Seconds

Setting up vehicle awnings might be the least amount of fun you’ll have at your next campout or tailgate. Sometimes you just want something to protect yourself from a quick bout of rain, but by the time your overhead coverage is deployed, the dark clouds have already passed and your clothes are already drenched. While necessary for blocking out the sun and keeping you dry, awnings are often better left behind. However, Kammok’s new Crosswing might just make car awnings must-have outdoor accessories.

From a brand that makes pound-for-pound the sturdiest hammocks on the market, the Crosswing boasts a setup time of three seconds and barely requires both of your hands to do so. Just tighten the bolts onto your roof rack the very first time and you’re ready to go from there on out. Thanks to the stainless steel and aluminum X-Frame built into the awning itself in lieu of pesky legs, you’re not as limited to what you can put underneath and you no longer have to worry about accidentally knocking it off balance. Moreover, you can change the location of your car without needing to take down the awning altogether.

Strong enough to withstand up to 25mph winds and heavy downpours, the Crosswing is made from VeloX 600D PVC Coated Polyester fabric to bring you peace of mind during spontaneous weather changes. UV-resistant and waterproof, the awning is available in both 5-foot and 7-foot versions, both with a 6.5-foot width.

Kammok has returned to its roots with its tenth Kickstarter campaign, which is now live on the crowdfunding site through June 30. Those who help fund the Crosswing can receive a plethora of rewards and bonuses, with pricing starting at $599.
