From blueberry-dyed shirts to literally-indestructible rain jackets, Vollebak has no shortage of extreme innovations in its lineup. However, the brand’s latest collection is made for traveling to other planets.
To be more specific, the moon of other planets. Consisting of a puffer jacket, puffer pants, and puffer hat, the Titan Range is named after Mars’ moon, Titan, which is the only locale outside of Earth with water discovered on its surface. And since the temperatures on Titan are twice as cold as the coldest temps recorded on our planet, the new items have been tested in a liquid nitrogen chamber as low as -100ºC.
The new range is engineered with NASA tech, such as five large pull cords in case of a blizzard and magnetic front zippers that engage without any hassle — and are big enough to handle with gloves on. Triple-layered with polyamide, the shell is lined with the same material as the strongest, lightest parachute ever developed — the same one NASA used to land the Perseverance Rover on Mars.
