The James Brand & Roark Come Together for a PVD-Coated Titanium Mess Kit

Since its inception in 2012, The James Brand has developed a reputation for delivering design-conscious knives and EDC gear crafted from top-shelf materials. In addition to resonating with the general public, the Portland company’s wares have also caught the attention of plenty of other outfits operating in similar spaces, resulting in an ever-growing number of special edition collaborations — the latest of which sees TJB join forces with adventure clothing and luggage brand Roark to create a limited-edition run of ultra-premium camp mess kits.

Christened “The Road Kit,” the set is made up of a pair of PVD-coated titanium and walnut chopsticks and a matching PVD-coated titanium fork and spoon — all entirely new products from James°. Anchoring the collaborative release is a special edition version of TJB’s Hell Gap knife. Measuring 7.8″, this variant of the fixed-blade model retains its regular 3.8″ CPM-S35VN modified drop point blade, though the steel has been hit with a black PVD coating and paired with a set of OD green Micarta scales. Weighing just 19oz all told, the entire set also comes in a co-branded, 10″ x 4″ leather-accented OD green 600D polyester tool roll that neatly accommodates the five items comprising The Road Kit.

The James Brand × Roark Road Kit is available now with pricing set at $375, however, with only 140 units being produced worldwide, this limited-edition release is expected to sell out fast.
