Camping outdoors is about the time spent in nature, by the campfire, and under the stars — typically surrounded by good friends or those you love most. The quaintness of camping has nothing to do, however, with rough sleeping conditions and stiff necks. In fact, some people avoid the activity altogether simply because they don’t want to sacrifice their bodies in the process.

Kammok, who’s known for its high-quality hammocks and outdoor sleeping gear, has now debuted its Ursa Sleep System, a meticulously designed mattress to make sleeping on the ground comfortable for once — regardless of your sleeping style. With 6” of total thickness, the mattress includes a 4-inch self-inflating base pad specifically designed to preclude air from escaping and a 2-inch memory foam layer on top, designed specifically to be whisper-quiet for the more restless sleepers.

Wider than most standard sleeping pads on the market, the Ursa is 30” wide and 80” long and can be combined with a second system to mimic the size of your mattress at home. Able to keep you warm in 30ºF temperatures, the woven polyester comforter can be zipped along the sides for a sleeping bag setup and is equipped with an insulated foot box that can be cinched if needed. The top of the bed features a deployable hood for covering your head and/or eyes at night.
