Founded in 1939, Gerber has spent the last eight-and-a-half decades building a reputation on the strength of its rugged yet accessibly-priced knives and tools. Towards the tail-end of 2020, however, the Portland-based brand announced that it would be venturing into more top-shelf territory with the debut of its Gerber Reserve lineup — a collection of more high-end USA-made cutting tools that are crafted by hand in small batches using premium materials. And after the incredibly warm reception that the Reserve range’s Terracraft knife received, the company has now opted to join forces with noted men’s online retailer Huckberry to deliver a limited edition run of small-batch American-made Terracraft fixed blades.

Spanning 9.125” overall, the Huckberry x Gerber Terracraft Knife features a full-tang construction forged in CPM S30V — a high-end powder metallurgy stainless steel with excellent edge retention. This full-tang construction has been sandwiched between a set of super rugged and ultra-grippy weatherproof Micarta scales in a dark-green and black multi-tone colorway that are exclusively found on this limited edition variant. What’s more, the full-tang S30V construction culminates in a 3.875″ blade that’s been bestowed with a razor-sharp factory edge. Sporting a black finish, the knife’s blade has also been adorned in the words “Made In USA” and its blade steel construction on one side and both Huckberry and Gerber logos on the other.

The Huckberry x Gerber Terracraft also benefits from a super beefy 0.18” blade thickness. This measurement ultimately allows the fixed blade to lend itself to bushcraft use and other hard workhorse duties — including the ability to have its pommel double as a hammer. Additionally, the blade also boasts a 90° spine that was specifically designed for fire striking. Tipping the scales at 6.4oz in total, the Huckberry x Gerber Terracraft also ships with a snap-secured, rivet-equipped black American leather sheath — another item that’s exclusive to this limited edition variant. Like the regular version of the Terracraft, the Huck x Gerber model comes backed by a lifetime warranty.
