Everyday Carry: Burnt Bronze

Aiming to blend into the environment where they’re being utilized, standard-issue military garments and gear are almost always produced with an earth-toned finish, from classic OD green to stealthy blacked-out schemes to desert-focused coyote hues. Because of these colors’ widespread use amongst armed forces, earth tones often have the ability to imbue pieces of everyday carry gear with a distinctive military and tactical-inspired feel. And while the trio of aforementioned military colors has long been widely used in the EDC space, another earth-toned hue has grown increasingly popular in recent times: burnt bronze, which is also known as “burnt earth.” To celebrate the growing number of EDC items that now sport this color, we’ve selected a curated array of burnt bronze gear for this week’s everyday carry spread.

CIVIVI Ti-Bar

Designed by Ostap Hel, CIVIVI’s brand-new Ti-Bar is a compact pry bar, opener, and scraper tool that’s made specifically for everyday carry. Measuring 1.70” L x 0.64” W and tipping the scales at just 0.29oz, the Ti-Bar is machined from a 0.18” thick piece of 6AL4V titanium and features a color-anodized finish — in this case a burnt-bronze hue. Sold in a number of other anodized color options, this pocketable single-piece multi-tool also comes with an oversized lanyard loop, making it all the more conducive to EDC use.
