Dating back to 1902, Buck Knives undoubtedly stands as one of America’s oldest and most respected knife makers. And despite being deeply rooted in tradition, the company continues to produce novel offerings — a slew of which have just been unveiled as part of the Buck Knives 2023 Collection.
Headlining Buck’s 2023 drop is a brand-new set of field-dressing and game-processing fixed blades known as the ALPHA knives. Utilizing a full-tang construction, both models feature CPM S35VN blades paired with Richlite or walnut scales. Spanning 8.11”, both ALPHA knives are made in America, benefit from Paul Pos Heat Treatment, and come backed by Buck’s Forever Warranty. Buck has also revealed its take on a classic military combat knife with the Brahma knife, which features a 420HC clip-point blade that’s also offered in a top-shelf S35VN-steeled Pro-spec.
Despite typically operating in the mid-tier space, Buck’s 2023 collection sees it venture into more top-shelf territory. This includes a titanium and S45VN variant of the Buck 110 Slim, a 110 Hunter with scalloped Richlite scales and an S45VN blade, and an ultra-premium 590 Paradigm knife that features ivory G-10 scales, DLC-coated G-10 bolsters, and a raindrop pattern Damascus blade. Other releases include production versions of Buck’s Saunter knife, a dozen new backpacker-focused PakLite knives (which are also offered in S35VN Pro versions), a bushcraft-esque Vanguard fixed blade, fully blacked-out versions of its Deploy and Mini Deploy auto knives, and a larger version of the HiLine known as the HiLine XL.
The ALPHA Scout and ALPHA Hunter will be released this Spring, with pricing set at $190 and $215, respectively. Pricing for the rest of the Buck Knives 2023 Collection has yet to be revealed, though all models are slated for a release this Spring.
