The James Brand is one of our favorite EDC brands for a reason. Capable of executing with the same high level of quality whether it be a pocket knife, a wallet, or a wristwatch, the Oregon-based firm also happens to put out arguably the best looking gear in each category too. This holiday season, we’ve rounded up our favorite pieces from The James Brand that we highly recommend you consider for your next online shopping spree.
Article Overview
The James Brand Lowe Wallet

Believe it or not, until this year, The James Brand had yet to come out with their own wallet. And boy, did they not disappoint anyone when they dropped the Lowe. Oozing with the minimalist design language we’ve come to admire from them over the years, the card holder is crafted from CNC-machined 6063-T5 aluminum with a flush-mounted silicone cash strap on the outside. But what’s inside might be just as impressive. The brand’s Pinch-Tech system fixes an issue many metal wallets have in that a pair of internal rails are able to secure your cards exactly the same whether you have one or six inside.
The James Brand Madison Carabiner

If you’ve been following The James Brand for a while now, you’re well aware of their Mehlville carabiner. This year, they debuted its “younger sibling,” the Madison. Still featuring the same billet 6063-T5 aluminum construction that’s both lightweight and sturdy, along with the same dual-compartment architecture to keep your gear in place, the Madison sports a thinner design so it won’t rock when hanging. It’s available in five colorways, but we really think the Gold + Black variant is the best for gifting.
The James Brand Palmer Utility Knife

We love TJB’s Palmer utility knife, not just for how well it performs when cutting boxes or precisely slicing paper, but for how stylish it is. Available in 14 different styles at the moment, including a few transparent options, the Palmer doesn’t need to look this good but we’re glad it does.
The James Brand Kent Pen

TJB is no stranger to stylish EDC writing utensils, but before this year, they had yet to make a bolt-action pen. That all changed with the debut of the Kent, a sleek instrument made of durable 303 stainless steel yet weighing just 1.3oz. Available in three colorways, including two different all-black variants, the Kent accepts Parker-style G2-style ink cartridges.
The TJB Titanium Dice Set

The James Brand knows that not every piece of gear has to be so serious. That’s why they made this Titanium Dice Set, featuring five pieces crafted from billet 6al-4v titanium. The “1” side features the brand’s Clovis logo and each dot is machined — not printed — so it won’t fade. You can use these for straight shooting or swap them in for games like Monopoly or Yahtzee.
The James Brand Carter

TJB’s flagship pocket knife, the Carter is billed as “the most advanced knife” in their catalog. Simple yet incredibly versatile, the folder boasts a corrosion-resistant 2.8-inch VG-10 stainless steel blade housed in a fully-profiled G10 Micarta or carbon fiber handle with a slide-lock mechanism, the pocket knife is beloved by longtime enthusiasts but also great for newcomers. It’s easy to use, especially one-handed thanks to the unique thumb disc design. Likewise, it supports ambidextrous carry with its deep, reversible pocket clip that’s easily removable. There are over a dozen handsome variants on The Carter you can choose from, but for our money, we love the new Black + Fire colorway.
The James Brand × Timex Automatic GMT

We’ve seen a lot of watch collabs over the years but few have gotten our attention like the one between TJB and Timex. Now, they’re back with their third take on the Automatic GMT. You still get the same 43mm case boasting 200m of water resistance and housing a Miyota 9075 automatic “true” GMT movement, but this time around they’ve swapped titanium for sand-blasted stainless steel and added a stealthy forged carbon fiber dial. The watch comes with both a stainless steel bracelet and black two-piece nylon strap.
