Each January, Las Vegas plays host to the SHOT Show — America’s largest annual sport-shooting, hunting, outdoor gear trade show. With so much attention given to SHOT coupled with its placement on the calendar at the start of Q1, quite a few of the major players in these aforementioned spaces opt to use the annual event to debut many of their new products for the year — such as renowned knife-maker Benchmade, which has just revealed a slew of novel offerings for 2023.
The 2023 Benchmade Collection is comprised of 40 knives in total, and includes new variants of existing models along with an entirely novel release or two. This includes Seafoam-finished handle versions of the Mini Bugout and Shootout, Alpineglow-colored Bugout and Mini Bugout models, a redesigned CLA automatic knife, new variants of the Auto Immunity and California-legal Partial Auto Immunity knives, and a top-shelf CPM CruWear-steeled, forged carbon-scaled version of the Mini Adamas folder.
The most noteworthy release from Benchmade, however, is undoubtedly the brand’s all-new 748 Narrows model. Spanning 8.02” overall while weighing just 2.41oz, the Narrows is an EDC-focused folder that represents Benchmade’s thinnest profile folding knife currently offered, being 33% thinner than the Bugout. The knife is constructed around a 6Al-4V titanium handle with a special version of the AXIS lock and blue-anodized hardware, back-spacers, pocket clip, and pivot collar. The ultra-low-profile titanium handle has also been paired with a roughly 3.40” drop point blade composed of ultra-premium Böhler M390 super steel.
All 40 knives in the 2023 Benchmade Collection are slated for a release this year, with the first models going on sale in April before the rest of the drops will follow with scattered releases throughout the rest of the year.
